Hi All,

Can anybody tell me why 'one touch' operation of the windows only seems to work some of the time?

Sometimes I can lower or raise the window by a single press of the button. Other times, I have to hold the button down until it's all the way down.

Is this function only available at certain times ?

Michael

Mine's the same.
Sometimes even the passenger side works with one touch!
Just because you're paranoid, it don't mean they're not after you.

Well, that's exactly what mine's doing. On both sides. I can't figure it out. I'll give the dealer a call.

Thanks guys.

Michael

Push it down hard! There's a second "click" which means it'll go all the way down. On my CC you couldn't feel the second click at all. On my new 206 it's much more obvious & easier to use.

My windows are seriously intermittent.

Both sides, front and back. There never seems to be a time when I know it will operate with a single press (all the way) of the button.

Is it me ?

when engine running, I just hold it up until the back windows fully close (i think no one touch function for back windows up) then front start to move up at this point i can let the button go and it continue to roll up. For down - one touch, front windows move all the way down then push again for back windows.

I think this is software dependent, heres a story, i remember when i first got the car the passenger side dont have one touch even though the switch is 2 stage click, windows dont automatically wind down when you CLOSE roof (it beep to let you know that windows is up, but do auto wind down when you OPEN roof), beep sound when you touch the roof switch while roof is lock, when i bring it in for service and got it back there seem to be a lot of little changes, beep is louder, turn indicator click sound got louder, one touch windows work for both side, and no beep warning sound anymore when you touch the switch while roof is lock (which is good, very annoying b4 since that where i tend to keep my drink bottle)

can anyone confirm these changes? These changes take place during late 2002 - early 2003, so anyone bought the car 2002 and these things change in 2003?

Hi Huu,

I was chatting with my dealer today and he told me that updates are automatically downloaded to the cars when they're serviced. I think this is something to do with the Multiplex system (which I still don't understand). Perhaps this is what happened with your car?

My windows:

Driver's side - one touch operation for up and down, front and rear (one touch each)
Passenger's side - one touch only for down, not up. I think it is for both front and rear, but will have to check

Opening roof - windows open automatically
Closing roof - windows lower automatically if raised. They don't close automatically after the roof closes.

There is no click / lock on the window buttons.

As far as I know this is how my model (2.0 litre Nov 2002) is meant to be.

Cheers
Matt
