welcome to the world of the CCHi Everyone!
Thought it was about time I introduced myself after following the forum for a quite some while.
I am the new (and proud) owner of an Aegean Blue Pug CC (September 03).
Unfortunately its seems that there aren't many CC owners here in Melbourne (maybe it has something to do with our unpredictable weather!).
Anyway, just wanted to say that from what I have seen so far, you guys all have such awesome cars!![]()
Please excuse my naivety....I'm not really sure how to post on this forum with signatures and photos etc. If anyone has a spare minute.....?
if ya need anymore help then just either pm or post and we'll be only to glad to help

Hiya PicolaPug,
Nice to have another aussie girl on board!
If you need help with anything just ask!
As for pictures, the buttons above are really easy to use.
You click the Img button, and type in the location of your picture....
http://bouncingmammals.com/picture.jpg <---- no it's not a real link, LOL
It has to be somewhere online, Imagestation or something like that can host pictures for you.
Then click the Img button again and viola!!!
Your end result will look similar to this:
[img]http://www.bouncingmammals.com/picture.jpg[ /img]
But don't put any spaces in, I put an extra space in ^ so I could show you what it should look like.
Your avatar doesn't need to be a picture hosted somewhere, but can be browsed from your local drive on your PC.
If I have confused you, let me know, and I will try to explain it another way, or one of the guys can have a shot at it.
Then again, our admin team/moderators have also probably done it a bajillion times before too........
I hope you are thoroughly enjoying your CC.
A word of advice to a girl. In the glove box, always keep a hairbrush, a ponytail holder (if you have long hair), spare sunglasses, sunscreen, lipbalm with sunscreen, deodorant (for those hot days in traffic with the roof down), wet ones, bug off spray and a refillable water bottle!!
My lessons learnt the hard way!!!
Oh, and never ever keep a spare lipstick in the car, but then again, we know lipstick melts in any car, not just the CC.
And copy all your fave CD's to CDR and don't leave original CD's in your car either.
That's all from me, full of "information" today, aren't I?
*takes rest of day off and is filled with warm and fuzzy feeling*

Hi Picolapug,
You have a great car in a great colour ! Obviously a discerning type !
Are CC's rare in Melbourne ? Sydney has practically been overrun by them ! I reckon I see at least one every time I'm on the road.
Cheers,
Michael

In fact, the healthy thing to do is keep your lipstick in the fridge, along with all the other containers of fat.
Sorry. :sawery: That was something I picked up off daytime TV last time I was ill.
Yes, so ill that I was watching a article on how makeup becomes loaded with bacteria in a very short time, and one way to keep it as hygienic as possible is store it in the fridge.
Oh, the sacrifices you ladies make...
Just because you're paranoid, it don't mean they're not after you.

Thanks everyone for your all your welcomes! And especially to Seal, whose great words of wisdom I'll take on board (us girls have to stick together!).
Boyracer....i have to admit, yes, there are a few CC's here in melbourne...the fav colour here being the aluminium grey, followed by the black. Aegean blue is not very common, especially the MY03 and seems that most are the 1.6L (and which makes driving my car all the more sweeter!). So i was quite surprised that there were no posts from Melbourne owners here. Conversley, drove to Adelaide to see friends for New Years and DID NOT SEE ONE CC....i fact, from the looks I was getting, SA had never seen a CC before. Such a shame....
do you guys all have websites etc? I'd be keen to know the kinds of mod's you guys have done to your CC's. I'm slowly working through my list....

Sorry guys I have been offline for a while, because as a couple of people already know...
I HAVE MOVED TO SYDNEY!!!
I am here for a year at least, for work reasons (tho Leanne had a bit to do with it too!). You guys are right - there are heaps more CCs here than in Melbourne. There are two others that live in my apartment building!!!
So you Sydney owners may just see me at a drive day perhaps!!
And BTW the drive up was GREAT!
Cheers

Yeah welcome Matt!
We should have a drive day, or at least hijack a drive day organised by 206gti.net or Aussie Frogs. It's a shame there's some many CCs around but no one seems to want to join our forum!
Huu - where do you normally hang around, I have not seen your car before!! I've seen Trung's but that's it from members of this forum. Actually, where is Trung?
