Hi everyone,

I have now got a decision to make and would appreciate some suggestions. The next mod im going to do is either tinting the windows or a boot spoiler (probably the italian one!)
I have done the wheels, springs, colour coding, lights etc and would appreciate your thoughts.

I would not go black tints, but they would probably be pretty dark - both i expect to cost about the same.

Any other ideas for mods would also go down a treat!

IMO don't go for the tinted windows. But that's just because I don't like them. I like to see who's driving a car and surely you want people to see that your great car is being driven by you.

I know what your saying, but is it not often better to be mysterious!?

To add to the first post - if anyone knows of anywhere around gloucestershire where i could possibly get the tinting done - would be good to get a number or name

I think tints look really crap. Mind you I do live in bradford where the roads are full of boy racers driving their Toyota's and Honda's usually with blacked out or tinted windows.

I personally would go for the boot spoiler. Been looking at the one on the Ecosse site with the side repeaters. Looks very nice.
Would like to know if anyone else on the site has bought one of these, and if so how much did it cost to have it sprayed and fitted?

nobby,

click on the spec in my signature for a link of my pics showing my CC with the virtuel spoiler. the impact one is nice too but sits a bit higher.

other spoilers can look nice as it's a matter of taste but the side repeaters really set these ones off and get well noticed by others.

can't really give any info on total price as i got mines done with other work. the virtuel spoiler is £170+vat so e-mail ecosse for a total price if you are able to travel to their complex or ask local bodyshops for a paint and fit quote.

The car looks silly with the roof down and windows up anyway. I won't put them up when the roof is down unless on the motorway but no-one really notices then anyway.

My windows are tinted. 20% all round. Looks nice but its a shame you can't even have a small amount of tint on the windscreen.

One thing to watch out for though is the dot matrix on the back. Mine still hasn't set properly yet and has a ring round the edge where the tint isn't quite melded with the matrix. The place that did it say it will go by running my finger round the edge to secure it. I told them this hadn't worked but they said it wasn't the weather for it, I assume it has to be warm/hot. It has a lifetime guarantee anyway so if it doesn't work I'll take it back and they can heat seal it or something.

Have done loads of mods since the pix on my owner ID but not going to post pix until finished. Which will be the middle of february. I could send some but no point until shes done if you know what I mean :)

Getting the badge taken off the front on the 9th of Feb and the bumpers colourcoded (my car is black) so as long as the undercar neons are completed by then, there will be pix available sometime in the week commencing the 16th of Feb. You couls mail me if you like though and when my broadband is back up at home (wednesday), I'll mail some to you.

Cheers Derek I like the one you have on. Its not too over the top, but adds a little bit of individuality.
