Has anyone tried to close the boot after locking it? well don't do it.

I did it yesterday and my lock has jammed in the closed position, I now can't shut the boot or lock the car. The local dealer couldn't release it and doesn't have a new lock in stock, so I'm now without a car for 3 days until it's fixed.

This is the first car I've had that you couldn't close the boot after locking it.

Ummm, you can. Yours must be faulty (well it obviously is now).
