The suggestion here works for me - that is just reprogramming all presets. The car's booked in to have the set changed anyhow so they've obviously made a permanent fix and as it's arranged I'll have this done. It's nice to be able to use the radio again though without getting stuck on Radio2the third preset (rds station) it quickly goes from the preset display screen to the normal screen with the station name then if i use the stalk to go down again it starts from preset 1 again,
Pre-sets not working

seems to be the only thing to do. The same old problem just kept coming back. Had arguement with dealer as when i took it in the problem wasn't there. Had to take it back when it was. I find that so long as i don't re-tune the station it will stay there playing a different station to what it says!
They finally gave in and ordered me a new head unit.......IN JUNE!!!!!!!!!!
They lost the order, ordered a new one and still waiting!!!!!!!!!!
Phoned Pug customer service and got them to chase dealer as to what the hell was going on

I had a new head-unit fitted a couple of weeks back and sadly it made no differenceI find that so long as i don't re-tune the station it will stay there playing a different station to what it says!
It should work but I sympathise with the dealers, but Pug need to identify the fault, the units affected, and let people know how to tell, and the dealers which ones to fit. It's no good them keep ordering head units, taking time replacing them, only to find it's the same.

I have same problem with two pre-tuned stations on my radio. But only when RDS is turned on. RDS when turned on tracks a station for as long as it can so you could listen to radio one the length of the country and not have to retune. When RDS is on and the signal is too weak it will first flash no RDS and then it will retune to the nearest strong signal. The bit I can't understand is why it stores the new station over the original one.

I've had this problem with my radio for 17 months and i'm now on my 3rd radio.
Sympton:- Your playing a CD on the way home, when you get there you just turn off the ignition. Next morning, you start the ignition and the CD carries on playing where it left off. Next time you switch to radio you've lost your presets.
Local Pug Service Manager has suggested that when you switch on the engine in the morning, it might send a power surge through the system and multiplexer which loses the presets because the radio is still "active" when the ignition was turned off from the night before and also when switched on the following morning.
He said that before you switch off the ignition at night, you should switch off the radio at it's on/off button. In the morning after you start the car you can switch the radio on.
This seems to solve the problem but i don't remember to turn it off everytime - and if it was any other car I wouldn't need to.
