battery and alternater

Hi,

over christmas i left me CC for about 4 days, didn't want to drive it coz of too much lager, didn't want to get stopped by the fuzz

got in tried to start it but it was only just turning over , hooked up some jump leads and started right away took it for a drive for bit parked it up,tried it the next morning seemed okish but not prefect, tried it again later that day but again it hardly turned over

got it booked in for friday to have the monkies look at it to see what they say

i did ask if it was covered under warrenty to which they replied the battery only gets 12 months but the alternater SHOULD be covered

oh did go to a local car shop, they did a basic test on the battery,it was okish but was low on charge, they do a higher rated battery with 2 years warrenty for about £20, we'll see what peugeot charge if it is the battery

as anyone had similar trouble, if so how was it sorted

yes I have just had the same issue with the fiesa.

I replaced the battery, within 15 minutes the not charging light came on and the alternator died.

So I need not have bought a battery and I could have got the warranty company to fork out for it coz the faulty alternator buggered it.

just got back from the 's,they have fitted a new battery FREE OF CHARGE,picks self off the floor, as when i booked it in they said the battery only got 1 year warrenty , not complaining tho

it does seem a larger battery tho so wondered if they have started fitting larger ones to all 206's now :
