Just a note to warn you all...
I've had my CC since March 01 and not had a single problem.... that is until now.
the roof slowed down when been folded away and finally stopped. The pipes in the boot lid that feed the rams to drive the boot lid/roof mechanism cracked. This in turn filled the boot with oil!! Cars been in the garage awaiting new pipes and rams for a week and parts are not available!!! lets just hope mines not the first of many..
roof failed leaking oil

Hi, just had same thing last week, 01 reg CC, & live in Dublin where there are a lot of us now (18 month waiting list the first year, i woz lucky & picked mine up 6 months old by chance) Apparently the cylinder holding the hydrolic fluid has burst. It will be at least another 2 weeks before the part arrives & its the first time the garage has seen this problem & say is fiddly, so the labour charge will probably be huge as well as the part which is about 350 euro.Im not a happy babe!! The only good thing is that the weather here is so crappy I wouldnt have been able to open the boot anyway!

Wish it was but my garage says that 01 s only had a one year warrenty, now recent ones have 2 years, but mine would still be a few months over that...they have said they will try & get something back from Peugeot, & of course i suppose id still have to pay the labour which could be a whole day as they think its fiddly...good job Ive just paid for my hols cos otherwise Id have had to cancel! Bit upset cos i really love my car (aegean blue, 01 D 41619)

If this is in the UK then you may have a case under sale of goods act whether or not it's still under warranty. A hydraulic unit that fails within 2 years is not fit for purpose as far as I'm concerned.

Hi,
The same problem has just happened to my girlfriends car, they garage are trying to source the spares.
Any idea who long she should expect to be waiting, as it has been two weeks now and no sign of parts.
I wonder if I should chase this up with Peugeot UK?
Will this repair be covered under warrenty as the car is under 3 years old? they told her it will but reading post here seems to contradict that.
thanks
James
