Tracking

Any time i go to somewhere like kwikj fit,m they say they cant do tracking for the cc. I got somewhere to do it once before, but i wasnt convinced it was right. I didnt go to peugeot coz i had been quoted silly money.

Well today i phoned a few dealerships and got quotes. Might help the bods in my locality (that'll be emma and scatterbrains then

)

Northgate, Ashford : Couldnt fit me in, about Â£20.00
Canterbury motors : Machine broke, Â£59.95 + VAT
KAP Folkestone..... : Didn't phone em coz they're ANIMALS and i will never let them NEAR my car again!!!!

In the end i went to the grand garage at cliftonville and the squeezed me in and charged Â£11.00 + VAT = less than 14 quid

Is it only Canterbury Motor company that is so extortionate? I am seriously considering e-mailing Pug H.O about this one

Rochester are normally good with my car - new tyre + balance and tracking check done for Â£40 as I needed emergency repairs following my blowout last week.

Â£11 + vat got u plain old tracking done.. For Â£50ish i would expect full 4 wheel alignment to be carried out..

Tracking only means checking and setting the toe in/out on the front only..

4 wheel alignment checks caster, camber, toe etc on all 4 wheels.. and centers the steering wheel

anyway, i asked CMC for tracking - they should warn me if they are doing more un-necessary work
