too right I am and I have a ight to be!! if read properly it all started off with someone calling me an idiot and that person doesn't even know who I am or even met me!! I think I have a right to fight back especially as this is my post about my car......not for ppl to slag me off, diss me, diss the site or the cc and especially about what I do with my own money. if ppl cant get a grip and handle what other ppl want to do then I will remove all info about it so this doesnt happen.......your choice??

IDIOT, n. A member of a large and powerful tribe whose influence in human affairs has always been dominant and controlling. The Idiot's activity is not confined to any special field of thought or action, but "pervades and regulates the whole." He sets the fashions and opinion of taste, dictates the limitations of speech and circumscribes conduct with a dead-line.
Source: THE DEVIL'S DICTIONARY ((C)1911 Released April 15 1993)

There you go Chadd, not all definition of 'idiot' is bad ;) keep the pics comming mate

Personally I think you are mental, but along the lines of Huu's definitaion of an idiot you are definitely good mental, not bad mental! (If I was to come home from work and find you had stripped down my car, that would be bad mental )

Anyway, mental car modifiers have come up with a few gems in the past...
Carol Shelby and John Cooper for instance. The blokes who invented the Golf GTi, people at M, Alpina, Cosworth (Honda, Toyota and that mad Renault Clio)- all have done mental, financially out of proprtion things to normal road cars and created unforgettable machines- which is exactly waht Chadd is doing.

And if we were all happy driving around in the same thing it would be a very boring drive to work every day or rather sitting in the traffic jam looking at all the other cars...

Now I would never consider spending that much on modding a car (Ali hoops was a stretch  ) but that's probably just because I don't have that much money full stop.

When it's complete, you could well make back some of that money through public appearances!

As for hiding the number plate- I do that on my stock cc.

Keep sending the pictures, they brighten a dreary winter day!
Just because you're paranoid, it don't mean they're not after you.

well at least you admit it but you should maybe read closer to see what posts are slagging you off and the ones that are making genuine comments.

i made a genuine post and you got on your high horse and started slagging me off - ffs you can't have it both ways.
Porsche Boxter...mmm I cant think of a worser car to own than a car made for a pompus pr*~k! that car has only one statement....I love myself as I own a porsche! It has no status at all as you can buy them for £25k or less second hand...these days that is nothing considering an Audi TT costs that brand new!

Oh and for modifying a smashed up car...how stupid is that. You could spend what I am spending but then to find out the car would fall apart due to structural damage that would not show til some usage. smashed cars are death traps and I am not buildin a death trap. Its not worth buying a smashed up car as its more money than its worth to put it back safely unless its only the wing which is dented. I have done it to my car as I have had it for a while and wanted to modify it, I have owned the car from new so I am not buying something with somelses problems or a car which has been missed used.!
so if i was to buy a porsche i would suddenly be a a pompous pr~ck and love myself - do you know me ? to echo a post of your own.

then i mention using an accident damaged car as the donor car then suddenly i am stupid :? if you know what you are doing then you wouldn't be stupid as you would do the job right and check anything out as required before commencing.

good luck with your project. it's not something i would do with that money but then we are all different. also maybe think twice before slagging ppl that aren't slagging yourself, then you may be justified in your comments about others.

Derek....I think you should maybe read the posts again. I didnt call you anything just simply made a statement about porsche boxters and the classical owner and as you are NOT ONE yet then you would not be classed as this. If you wanna buy one then thats up to you but if you aldready owned one then I would not tell you that to your face like others have to me!!!!!

the only reason I get touchy about some posts is cos of their contents, i.e if you bitch to me diss me I WILL GIVE IT BACK!!!

like you say if you read the posts correctly you will see I never called you stupid as you never said you would buy a smashed up cc, I simply said how stupid would it be to buy a smashed up car, to be honest it doesnt matter how good you check things but unless you have the car Xrayed (which I will say you can ahve done) you will never find every fault plus if your buying onefrom someone it normally means its not worth putting back together and thats why they sell them then guys who own dodgy garages buy them, put them back, someone buys it thinking they have abargain then a year or two later the thing becomes thier worst nightmare!!! Once a car has had an accident it is a well known fact it will never be completely right ever again no matter what you do to it and to be worth it you gottta repair it pretty cheaply haven't you!! I am not that stupid so that is why I am doing it to my own car which I know is in perfect condition!

And as for your last comment, if ppl didnt post a reply about me instead of the project then maybe I wouldn't get cheesed off with them, after all thats the reply you posted wasn't it.....about me!! This is not about me its about my car and for others to enjoy not listen to others bickering about their own opinions....dont like DONT POST!!!!

Some people provide constructive criticism such as Derek and a few others which I think is fair enough and can be useful, but others will bitch/diss purely for their own warped sense of personal gratification and entertainment (a bit pervy if you ask me  ) you'll never stop em on a free forum but I'm glad you haven't been put off showing us your excellent project. 8)

It also sounds to me like your car might not end up all that expensive in the long term if you get chunks of cash back from sponsorships, rallies etc, sounds pretty cool headed to me, nice one $$$$.
