I am seriously thinking of going to MPH 2003 in earl's court on the weekend of 13-14 december.
Any of you going?
I am looking for a hotel (decent, not too expensive, close to Earl't Court and with car parking space), anyone has any suggestions?????

thanks!

thanks! Don't think I'm lazy! I've been looking in the net for offers etc, the cheapest I found of a decent hotel is the holiday inn forum in kensington which is close to earls court, £89 per room per night. Not bad, they also have parking spaces (although only 76 and they charge £25 per day    and it's first come first serve)
Also, was looking into leaving VERY early on saturday (5am) to get down hopefully for about 10, then go straight from the hotel to earls court and spend the day there..... then on sunday before leaving go christmas shopping in town....... mind you i would suspect that the traffic will be BAD on a sunday afternoon going northbound.....

Traffic varies.
It will ofcourse be a little busier heading up to Christmas but it isnt too bad.
The hotel rate doesn't sound too bad. Surely parking you can find on a street somewhere with it being a weekend??? (I may be wrong)

Not sure about parking overnight around Earls Court. I use to live in Barnes which is a couple of miles out and even there some of the restrictions were Mon-Sat. I know Verdun road is unrestricted and so are most of streets south of it (Verdun isn't that nice but you can park next to Astons/Rolls in Ferry road so you should be OK round there).

Buses run every couple of minutes up Castlenau road to Hamersmith and then it's two stops on the tube.

Or if you're worried you can drive round to SE16 and park in our flats underground carpark. We have a spare swipe card you can borrow. But then it's a 10 minute walk and 30 minutes tube to Earls Court

Britboy might know more as he's from SW London?

If I were you I'd stay outside central London and just get a hotel near a tube station. Ealing/Acton would be good. The tube would be quicker than driving into London and a lot less stress!

Hi

Silver 2.0SE. I don't drive it in London much but I'll keep an eye out for you. I'm more Surrey Quays than Rotherhithe, about 5 minutes walk from the cinema. Cheers

We have a spare room and parking, and are about 25 minutes train journey from Earls court if you fancy kipping over for a night.

(Yes me and the missus are normal people not wierdos!).
