I have a 1.6cc on order due to be delivered in 5 days and wondered what a service costs
Also can anyone tell me if it has a quickclear front windscreen with the wiggley heat lines or is it a fan operated heated windscreen? Either way I can't wait for the car!!

Thanks

windscreen clears with the fans but putting it on the auto visibility programme it clears in seconds.

don't know about servicing but shop around. my last 1.4LX was due the 20k service and i booked it into the dealer (edinburgh) where i bought the car. cost was £120 and i thought it was maybe dearer than before as it was 20k and not 12k servicing.

needless to say i booked it in for 9am on my day off and slept in

as i was a bit embarrassed to phone my dealer i booked it in at the dealer 2 miles from where i live as i had just went over the 20k miles - cost was only £67. they also only charged me £3 to fit a new rear light i had bought as some a*** had hit my car while parked and disappeared.

dealers based in cities always charge more (sometimes a lot more) to cover their higher costs than dealers on the outskirts.

derek

Well I know that my Pug bought through the Peugeot UK dealership network for the first 60,000 miles or 3 years (presumably whichever comes first) is free.

No idea about interim services costs though if you want extras such as oil/filter change.

If I wasn't changing my Pug before the end of the year I'd consider an oil/filter change every 10,000 miles (I think Peugeot's estimate of the distance covered before needing an oil/filter change to be a bit on the excessive side (other members have also mentioned this before).

I had my 20K service a couple of weeks ago (2.0 SE), quoted £130 for a service with semi-synthetic and £145 with fully synthetic. I went with the fully synthetic option and ended up paying just over £100 (got a bit of a discount due to problems earlier in the year)

I have been having an oil change with semi-synthetic every 5000 miles. Now it's reached 20K I will be sticking with fully synthetic and having the oil done every 10K (as every 5K is working out expensive as I am doing just under 20K miles a year)
