Whenever I log on to the net for some reason a certificate is displayed wanting me to accept it. It tells me this will enable the sender to run plug ins etc. This doesn't sound good to me so I keep cancelling it but it keeps appearing!
Help!
Help me!!! Grrr computers!

Okay this is what it says:
Backweb security notice
A new certificate has arrived for channel 'Support'. It will be used to digitally sign the channels contents. Do you wish to accept this certificate?
This certificate is published by MIS NEC computers international B.V. Wijchen, Gelderland, NL
as a publisher under credentials issued by
Secure Server Certification Authority RSA Data Security Inc. US
Expires Novermber 26th, 2004
So I click on No and then it comes up with some garb about channel support being deactivated and I'll be asked again in 24 hours unless I manually disable the channel.
Still clueless and it's really beginning to piss me off now!

 yeah its one of those spyware,
Try uninstalling via the "Add/Remove Program" icon in the Control Panel, if its not there then its must be in one of the program that install it.
Heres some links to how remove manually:
http://www.pestpatrol.com/PestInfo/B/Backweb.asp
http://www.darlingtontown.co.uk/hintsnt ... ient.shtml
http://www.cexx.org/dlgli.htm
and then find out which program install the thing to save you installing it again.
(i hate spyware, everytime i caught a hardware company sneak these into there drivers, software etc etc, i write to them and give them a mouthful

Sadly these sort of companies don't give a damn whether you write to them or not.i hate spyware, everytime i caught a hardware company sneak these into there drivers, software etc etc, i write to them and give them a mouthful![]()
These guys are pure evil and trade on people's misery for profit, last month I spent ages eradicating a program that highjacked my browser, I eventually traced it to a website advertising it for sale for $11,000.
I might just pose as a buyer, string em along for a month or so to really p*ss them off and give em a bit of their own.
Robbie.
