quite surprised - i actually like it....... i think ...........
the overall styling is good and bad. i'm not keen on the normal 307 but the CC is lower and looks far better from the front. never been sure about the back and still not but it looks better in the flesh than the pics.
i like the rear lights - led's look good.
rear room isn't brilliant but is night and day from the 206CC. leg room can be a bit tight but the seats are far bigger and headroom is far better.
tail gate opens using the remote - far better than the 206CC key version. there's also a clever button in the '0' of the 307 badge to do it manually.
the 138bhp version that i had the test drive in wasn't as slow as i thought, performance is probably on a par with the 1.6 206CC although i think top speed will be higher - i would get the 180bhp version - more toys too
the 307CC is massive inside compared to the 206CC - this means it's nothing sporty but more practical.
door handles have a sensor so as soon as your hand goes near the handle the windows drop down - should help avoid 206CC leaks.
seals round windows etc.. also look far better.
i think the 206CC can rattle sometimes like a tin can - 307CC was far better.
roof operation is clever the way bits of trim jump out etc.. to make the roof down look pretty smooth.
cruise control is a £150 option.
180bph version comes with half leather. upgrade to simple (206CC style) leather is £500 or £1000 for leather on the rest of doors and dashboard etc..
metallic is £300. like aegean blue but the mulberry colour (kinda purple) looks nice and there's also a special paint at £400 which is kind of diablo red, can't remember name.
there's a grey leather but availability is a bit vague and would be nice with the mulberry. didn't think it would look nice but pics look fine. there's also a tan leather - fine if you are 80yrs old.
no roof catches inside for the roof - better than the 206CC.
my other options are mazda rx-8 and nissan 350z but 25mpg figures put me off.
here's the financial bit ......... total price with options is around £21850 i think.
book price of my car is £12,800 although my mileage is a bit high as it's at 27k nearly on march 02 reg. to swap over in march 2004 on new reg i am looking at £13k. they did say it's hard to value the car with the amount of modifications - fyi, esquiss front splitter is no longer on the car due to speed bumps. they were very interested but decided against buying the plate so that would be available for private sale.
i was looking at £13,000 - £13,500 for trade-in so not far away and i would look to get the paint protection worth around £200 thrown in to close a deal.
what does everyone think ????
