This is not a problem as such (so didn't put it the the problem section) but when un-locking your CC using the remote why doesn't the boot un-lock at the same time :
Is it supposed to : cos' mine doesn't (mine's the new style key - where you only have to click once to operate the dead locks)
I have to unlock the boot using the key. On locking my CC using the remote after having the boot open it does lock the boot and if I un-lock the boot before un-locking my CC the alarm goes off :
8)
More powerful than you can possibly imagine
James - mine is exactly the same and I seem to remember from reading the handbook it is supposed to do that.... tis a bit of a pain, but I guess its for extra security?
If you're going to be a bitch, be a first class bitch....
But if someone were to lean in and unlock the car by pulling up the tab on the door, or pressing the unlock button on the dash, the boot would still remain locked. So you can leave any valuable stuff in the boot ubt still leave the top down.
I suppose in theory the alarm would go off and scare anyone off, but in reality nobody dares to question anyone anymore
I don't leave anything valuable anywhere or leave the roof down as I had my old Saxo VTR broken into for a (portable) CD player totally out of sight and my tax disc
The 307cc boot opens on the initial unlock press of the button, you have to hold it down for about 5 extra seconds. Handy, but in common with most drivers in London, once in the car, I lock it up on the internal button.
Stops the potential of haviing the doors and or boot opened at the traffic lights in the less salubrious areas of town!
