I was leisurely driving home from work last Sunday when I saw in my rear view mirror some lights approaching. They were coming up pretty fast. So I decided to speed up. At one point the vehicle was about 6 car lengths behind me and appeared to be struggling to keep up. We were both doing about 60mph at this point and both still accelerating along the dual carriageway. Then, all of a sudden, the other car seem to get super powers and just shot away.

My ego was severally bruised not least for the fact that the other car was an escort Rs turbo. Old 80’s version.

One thing that puzzled me was that after it had stopped accelerating there were blue flames inside the exhaust pipe. Does this mean it was running Nitrous? Please say yes. I need an excuse for my poor showing.

One good thing was that we later both stopped at some traffic lights where I managed to get away quicker.

Nos dont creat flaming exhaust though. There are flame thrower kit which does that but add nothing to performance, just for show (i'd stay away from these cars if i see one because it have a tendency to blow up if not install properly).

sorry cant think of any excuse for your slowness but hey it might have nos installed, you cant really tell just by driving beside it, or in this case behind it??

Yeah the driver kinda resembled E.T.

It can't have been E.T though. His ears were to big and he used his middle finger to point home. :rolleyes:
