After picking up my spanking new CC last saturday I decided to invest in a disclok, Ive never had one before on my previous cars but being so proud of my lastest investment I took the plunge.

The thing is, apart from it being so damn cumbersome, is that its beginning to mark the steering wheel (ARGHH!) does anyone have any pearls of wisdom about what I could do to stop this...apart from bin the disclok!!

Get a leopard skin steering wheel cover. That will protect it and will be very original.

Hi Yorkslad,

Had a disklok for almost two years in my CC and it hasn't damaged the leather stearing wheel at all?? Is your disklok OK??

I scratched the leather on my first CC with my disklok. I took it off and felt around the edges and found a roungh bit. Got a bit of sand paper and its OK now.

No I've used one for about two years very clumbersome but no damage caused. Have you got the velvety bits inside! - technical terms obviously

I keep mine under the passenger seat cos I can manage to pull the seat forward and heave it over! ;)

Velvity bits are there but big metal hinge is probably causing the marks....have decided to get me gran to knit me a tea cosy/willy warmer/disclok cover cause at the moment Im using a tea towel and I think I would rather have my car stolen that see blue checks everytime I get in and out
