I am picking my new car up tomorrow (Saturday) after it was supposed to be here September 1st & the Peugeot Salesman rang me up this afternoon to say that they had NOT got the SP Front Grille, Clear Rear Lexus Lights, Luxury Car Mats (that they were giving me for free) in time & I will have to send the car back next week for them to be fitted.I am so angry it is unreal.I ordered these extras back in the 1st week in May, 5 bloody months ago.

What would you say or do etc & what form of compensation should I expect/demand ???

Please help me out here Guys/Gals.

Have you paid for the car?

It's happened to me twice too - and I always regret that excitement means I take the car and hope they keep their promises - only a VW dealer ever has for me and even then, I had to chase them up as they had my money, had their sale

So howabout paying for the car but knock off the balance of the bits that aren't ready?

Hmmmm I dunno...!!!!!!!! I'd say don't accept it - but I know damn well that if I was in your shoes, I couldn't wait! Sorry, not much help eh? :D

a free full tank of petrol for starters :D

the 6000 mile service is free but the 2nd one you have to pay for, how about telling them you want that for free as well just as a small gesture on their part for all the mistakes they have made :D :D :D

Tell them you want your deposit back or the original order you placed with them with the kit fitted. Put the point across that buying a new car is supposed to be an enjoyable experience and you are going to have this experience at another dealership. If these salesmen can’t keep to their promises then they should loose sales. Demand to speak to sales manager.

They may just surprise you and get it sorted. If they are adamant they cant, but are prepared to go out there way then say you will take a demonstrator CC in its place until your car is ready.

At the end of the day summer is over and you should have been enjoying CC motoring through the tail end of our summer.

Throw teddy out of your Pram. Who cares what they think. Salespeople will think you’re a soft touch if you don't.

When I bought my CC I ordered it on the Monday morning and it was ready for me to pick up on Thursday morning. The car arrived at the garage on the Wednesday and they had the SP grille fitted that day.

I'd be wary about what they say about ordering parts - as long as the garage is on the ball it shouldn't take them that long to get the stuff & fit it.
