Query as above. Just being dealing with a company which specialise in bulk discounted UK supplied vehicles. As part of the conversation we got talking about p/x of my 206CC etc.
He said that he also supplies 206CC's but recently they have become only available on factory order as there are no available cars for Peugeot UK or their dealers (his cars come from the manufacturer via several main dealers).
His advice was sell privately and ask for strong money. Interestingly I was told something similar by another trader in Leeds and there was a 206cc on ebay this week saying there was a waiting list.
Can anyone confirm this please.

The frogs do shut france down for 2 weeks in august, maybe this has something to do with it.

Order my Allure last month, was told that they weren't making anymore only stock was available at dealers. Dealer just told me that my cars is being built?? Do all CC's come from France? Does anyone know long it takes to be built and shipped over...at this rate I'll be freezing my t*ts off in November
Apparently they do - i got told when i first had my little 'problems' that whereas the hatch is straght off the production line, the cc is largely hand built. This was pugs axcuse for why they arent as 'perfect' as the machine built hatchbacks
So sounds like the answer to the original question (is there a wait for new cars and no stock available direct from Peugeot UK) is yes then??
Has anyone been into a dealer and told that they either have stock or can get stock direct from Peugeot UK recently (ie. over the last week or so?)
I need to know as it may effect p/x value and I may also offer car back to the selling UK dealer if their likely to be losing sales as they have no cars and therefore may want an alternative the offer up to potential punters.
I opted out of the idea of buying from a broker (or should that be chickened out in case they ran off with my cash!!).
Instead I have bought a pre registered '03 reg delivery mileage MX5 1.8is Splash Green Mazda MX5 so its their ready to pick up once the CC goes or I'll p/x it with them at the end of the month (although we're still agreeing a final price as their ringing Peugeot specific dealers tommorrow. There is already a strong bid on the car just from their general motor trade buyers though so I might not need to sell private at all )
I dont think the waiting list will be driving part ex values up JUST yet!!! Canterbury motor company have 4 or 5 cc's on their used forecourt at the moment, including a delivery mileage diablo red (or whatever colour they call it nowadays) Just because there is a small wait for BRAND NEW cc's doesnt mean the dealers will be ripping any of our arms off for now. Bear in mind a hatchback takes about 6 weeks, so 8 weeks for a cc is hardly a queue! They are probably starting to build as soon as the car is ordered. Also, ppl wont be desparate to have the car NOW NOW NOW like they would if it was, say, July!
Agreed if theres cars to be had then no extra on p/x yet.
There's lots of brokers on Autotrader.co.uk advertising CC's they either haven't got or can't get a firm date for though as I was dealing with them for the Mazda and everyone of them said sell private and strong money as there were no new or pre reg CC's around at present.
Yeah - dont know about any other main dealers, but i know they have a few coz i was checking out the prices last week (I like to know what my car might be worth should i want to sell, even though i dont )
