:D :D :D

Hi,
Just an update for those that remember my post on 11.06.03 where I told you about a huge scratch which some bast@rds done along the whole side of my brand new cc whilst it was parked in the hospital car park where I work. I only had the car for 3 days so I was totally gutted, it also cost me £527.00 to fix.
Anyway, to cut a long story short and and thanks to some painstakingly tedious work fron the hospital security staff, the cctv was sent to the police who digitally enhanced the images.
The vandals were caught on cctv sratching my car and were then seen getting into another vehicle 3 spaces away!!(a B reg xr3i cabriolet)
The reg no of this car was traced and subsequently 2 males matching the cctv pictures were arrested by the police a couple of weeks ago.
Finally, they were both in court today and both pleaded gulity to causing malicious damage.
I was awarded £1200.00 in damages and they both face lengthy community service orders.
Isn't justice a wonderful thing!!!

Regards.

Lucy.

Fantastic, glad it's worked out for you!

It seems rare that vandals are caught these days. I've still had no luck finding the git who broke my window, even though he cycled up and down past a police CCTV camera twice in the hour after he took my window out... and the police claim they can't find him!

Glad to hear they were caught. Usually u can't make out someone's a*se from their elbow on CCTV - assuming of course the CCTV is working in the first place (ie not a dummy camera and there's actually a tape in the recorder)
Rain or shine - topless is fine!!

£1200 seems a lot and at the time I was delighted with it.
However, this is the catch....because they are both in receipt of state benefits the court allowed them both to pay £5.00 each every week. Which means I will receive the grand sum of £40.00 every month whopeeee :D :D
By my reckoning that's gonna take 2 1/2 to pay!!
