But what a stupid statement:

"The 1.6-litre variant is expected to cost around £16,000, which is less than the 2.0-litre version of the smaller Peugeot 206 CC"

Well duh! Is it less than the 1.6-litre version of the 206cc though? And is the 2.0-litre variant less than the 2.0-litre version of the 206?

Idiots!

Does look quite nice though.

yes but on the plus side, dont all Hyundai's come with 5 Years parts & labour warranty.

That really puts Peugeot to shame.

Yes they do but if you read what they cover and what they dont then it does not seem as good. There are alot of get out options that are crap. The warranty is crap and so are the cars....... :P

not read it fully yet as my copy gets delivered to my dads address still but had a quick looking while errr working :D

loved the 1.6/2.0 quote as well :?

looks nice enough but when the top model costs approx £20k it makes a 307CC look good value after all

its better than the 307, you get a 2.7 V6 for £20k

From Autoexpress web page
The 1.6-litre variant is expected to cost around £16,000, which is less than the 2.0-litre version of the smaller Peugeot 206 CC and half the cost of a Mercedes SLK 320. A top-level 2.7-litre V6 Coupé Cabrio is likely to be around £20,000.

From my observation the resale on Hyundai's is poor. Once the five years is up many say they're meant to be thrown away. A little harsh I think, but resale value is a real consideration for me.

I agree the re sale value on these cars are Crap same as Ford. We bought a Mondeo a while back y reg done 10,000 miles. We paid £12k for it, when we sold it under a year later with 12,000 miles on we gor £8,000.
We were first offered £7,000. so we wont get another Ford. These small points all make cars popular or a flop.

u might get a hyundai 2.7 V6 for £20k but it is actually quite an ugly car. the megane which is shown next to it looks far better as does the megane roof against the hyundai.

i was considering the 307CC which would be £20900 for the 2.0 180bhp but the RX8 190 is only £20k or £22k for the RX8 230 - getting tempted although the options are a bit pricey
