Why bother listing the price of everything including the leather etc???

You can take out a seperate insurance for your stereo equpiment if your that bothered at having it covered for its full value, but i wouldnt as the stuff locked in the boot is pretty secure in there as they need the key to get in there to nick whatevers in there.........

Some companies say that any mods that are just cosmetic dont increase premium, so in your case its only the zaust that is a performance mod.

Try Tesco, they do online quotes

your paying way too much for someone of your age ;)
MMMMmmmmmm V-TEC u gotta love it :)

Have you tried the performance insurance companies such as HIC, Adrian Flux, Liverpol Victoria?

Personally I found Direct Line cheapest for two years running.

As Erm says, the only mods you need to worry about is your exhaust and possibly your rear lights as they're fairly easy to nick (at a guess). If you're that worried about stereo equipment take out a separate policy as it'll be cheaper.

I renewed my insurance last week. The premium is £569.15, I dont have as many mods as you but I do live in a high risk area of East London.
Im insured with Equity Red Star via brokers called Boncaster, you could try giving them a call on 0870 608 3613.

coz i like to let the insurance company know EXACTLY whats fitted to my car so they can't argue the case if i have to make a claim :P

if the locks on the CC are as good as the normal 206's door's/boot then they last about 5secs to a thief who knows what he's doing deadlocks or not (autoexpress test last year i think)

thx will give tesco's a try :D

if i'm paying too much, how much is your insurance for the CC and are all your mods declared,if you know ;)

Careful.

I’m feeling very touchy about my age at the moment. I renewed my MG Car Club membership recently and when I got my updated membership card, enclosed was a 25 years membership lapel badge.
I felt a bit better when I was reading some race reports and recognised names of some of the people I used to race against, and thought if they can still do it then I should get back out on the track again. Of course it soon dawned on me that I was reading about the sons of those drivers. So please leave off your ageist comments. Especially as I’ve got yet another birthday coming up soon.

Try Egg.

I'm only a couple of years older than you (24/12/69). I pay around £340 with all mods declared (they didn't increase premium as dealer fitted). Not 100% sure on stereo cover without checking but think it was £1,000.

They do an online quoter too at www.egg.co.uk (might be .com)

Good luck

Ooops see you have got your insurance. I am a slow typer!! :?

Try Direct line- tel number 0845 246 8811. You can get a quote online. My renewal was 546 pounds with the following:

I was 27 (28 today) have my 21 year old partner on the insurance. As a named driver.

600 pounds of stereo cover. Didn’t ask for this. It just states this on the policy

Less than 10'000 miles a year.

No claims discount protection.

Motor legal protection.

2001 2.0l CC SE. I enquired about cosmetic mods and was told as long as I am prepared to have any damage items replaced with original stuff then there is no extra charge. But best to clarify this point.
Bourj wants his ORANGE back!!!
