If anyone reading this has Julias mobile number handy, can they please pass on that I am having serious mobile phone trouble (ie I've lost it...again ) and major PC trouble. I think I have isolated the problem to MSN Messenger (everytime I sign in I get a warning message and my computer shuts itself down after 60 seconds. If I don't sign in to MSN it appears I can stay online.)
So if anyone could ring her and let her know I am alive and online at the moment (fingers crossed) I would be grateful. Thanks.
If the warning goes like "generic host process for win 32 services has encountered a problem and needs to close " followed by " system shutdown windows must restart because the remote procedure call service terminated unexpectantly " Sounds like you got the MSBlaster virus.

Yep! Thats what I got!! Help!!! What do I do - just got booted again, somebody help me!!! Shite. That virus software was obviously worth the money
don't panic CB. Copy and carry out instructions in the first post of "Think the MSBlaster virus is deleted? check your registery!" thread or the blaster worm virus thread.
You can also try pressing the Ctrl,Alt +Del buttons to bring up task manager . Scroll down to the MSBlaster.exe. file then right click on it with the mouse to "end process" then scan + run your anti virus program again which should delete the virus (if your anti virus is up to date).
You then need to then reverse the changes made to your registery.
Click Start, and then click Run. (The Run dialog box appears.)
Type regedit
Thanks guys...Ran Norton Antivirus and luckily it detected the virus before I got booted again, and deleted it. Then I followed Robbies instructions.
Wish that Firewall installation had worked when we tried to do it the other week Greenday
Hopefully comp is fixed and virus free now...but will have to wait and see (*insert fingers crossed smiley here*)
Nope - i spoke too soon...Not fixed. Me and Stephen T have been working thru the night but i'm not out of the woods yet
Heres a public "Thankyou" to Stephen though...
