Me and some of the lads are planning a weekend in Blackpool in the near future. Seeing as I'm lazy and not sure how to work this internet thingy to my advantage, can anyone suggest anywhere cheap and cheerful to stay (preferably with a contact phone number) thats nearby the "attractions"

Thanks

Apparently there's a few good strip joints in Blackpool. Maybe they have rooms to rent by the hour?

Worth a try ;)

I saw that the dorchester in blackpool was on 'hotels from hell' last week. That could be nice - famous hotel visited by television stars etc

Try www.smoothhound.co.uk
It has B abd B places from everywhere on it, you can specify what you want, how much you'd pay etc and if you link it with mulitmap or something you can find out what street the places are on. Somewhere just North of central pier is the best place, between there and towards the North pier if I remember correctly are the best pubs...... Watch out for rumours, the bar staff all just wear their undies! I'd suggest where we stayed but it was noisy as hell!
Parking can be a bit of a bastard as well so bear that in mind.

i'm from Blackpool and don't understand why anybody would want to come here.
And visitors tend to see the worst parts near the town centre. It's a complete doss hole.
Scallies and dossers everywhere. Don't bring a decent car here if you are staying near the centre.
North of North Shore or the Stakis which has big car park isn't too bad but otherwise use the worst car you can find!
