Roof on or off makes no difference. The sensor's on the bottom of the passenger mirror ;)
Is that what that is?!? Took me ages to work out that wasn't a drop of water
Took me ages to get use to it as well. Kept trying to dry it after washing the car :P

The weather has been so bad here, I was thinking of starting a topic
"Whats the lowest you've seen the temp gauge" :rotfl:

Jussi would probably win that though in the freezing north
I must remember to start that topic in next winter ;)

Yesterday when i left work temp gauge shows 39 8) 8) 8)

Highest I've seen my temperature gauge is 26, weather is horrible here atm :(
Ditto ... thought it was a problem mould on our car ! :)
Strange place for a temp sensor ... anyway, 39 degrees when I got in the car on the way home last night ... still 33 degrees after a ahem-cough mph run down the dual carridgeway (windows down, windbreak down :) !)

by she simple trick of changing the setting we got a reading of 102 on sunday which is a lot more than 39 unless you convert Farenheit to Celcius and then they're about the same.

About 3 weeks ago, when we had the last bit of hot weather, mine stated 43 c. It was parked in the sun all day, while at work.

Tried to put the roof down, as you do, and the roof got stuck half way. Panicked as you do. Then phoned my local dealer in Walton (Who I have to say are very good) and they told me to bring it in to have a look.

Drove the car about 200 yrds, people were staring and laughing and stopped as I had to travel at about 10 mph. At this point the roof has started to work again. I then looked at the temp, 38 c. I believe that the micro switches failed due to the high heat.

Anybody else had this problem???????
And she was greatful...

I've been at my GF appartment last weeks and the car stood in the sun for most of the day. When we went for a drive the temp showed between 39 and 45(!) degrees for the last week!
When driving it was between 31 and 37 degrees and last night it was still 30 degrees at 1 a.m.!

I know have another reason to put the roof up when i'm away, because the leather in the car gets too bloody hot when it stands in the direct sun!

And then too think that when i was younger i thought it was weird to have airconditioning in a convertible... 8)

I also been on holiday in Turkey... Spotted exactly 0 CC's over there...
though there were a fair amount of bmw's and merc's convertibles.
