I was out riding my horse on Saturday and as is usual on a quiet country road most drivers were being polite and passing me slowly. A car had just passed me very politely and as his top was off I said thankyou. Just has he had got back on to the right side of the road a white Corsa came screaming round the corner, saw his car, me on the horse, panicked and braked and lost control. It all seemed to happen so slowly and by the time the two cars hit the Corsa was almost stationary. There was minimal damage but the car that passed me was a week old Elise! Needless to say the driver was gutted but nobody was hurt. Corsa driver was only 17! Dread to think what would have happened if the other car hadn't been there!! I don't think I would have been alive. If he had hurt my horse I think my hands would probably have been still round his throat now!!!

T**ser!

Anyway got that off my chest! Thanks for listening

Burge

P.S. The horse stood like a rock throughout all this and if she could have sworn at the driver it would have been quite rude!

Point taken. But i bet the vast majority of 17 year olds don't earn enough money to afford their own insurance or have rich parents to pay for it for them (and buy the car in the first place) so a lot of the times, if you want to be mobile at that age, you do get yourself on your parents insurance.
I don't understand how this statement can make me jealous of young people? And why this statement means i am "giving crap" to young people? The ones that piss me off are the 17 year olds driving around with NO insurance.
Or was your reply just for the sake of having a pop at me personally Erm? ;)

well in my personaly experience NONE of my mates when they were 17 drove around with no insurance so dont put all people in the same hat just cuz of their age :P

Lover's tiff chaps?

At least everyone agrees that it's good that Burge and her horsey are ok. Perhaps get some medieval armour for your horsey Burge, and a big mace for yourself. That way you can put a dent in the roof of anyone getting a little close! ;)
Just because you're paranoid, it don't mean they're not after you.
