Guys & Gals, Couple of questions.

1) I am gonna lower my car, however does anyone know what springs are the best ones to use?

2) What is the besy distance to lower them by? I want to lower it so it's obviously lower, but don't want to end up with any rubbing and don't want to knacker any of the parts attached to the suspenion.

3) Where's the best place to get the springs from?

4) I also like the look of the sub boxes from auto-acoustics but does anyone know whether this is going to interfere with the roof when it's down and in the boot? I would imagine that it would make the roof rattle if you've got subs just below them!?!?!

1) Eibach tend to get mentioned quite a bit, although I can't talk from experience. (Erm, paul_y3k, mellie to the rescue?)

4) My CC rattled enough with the volume up high! If you can cope with the rattles already in your car then I shouldn't worry about a bit from the roof... Plus if the volume is high enough, you won't be able to hear any rattles...

eibach are not good. they are the best. but i dont think they are what u are looking for as many people complain (myself included in teh past) that eibach springs dont lower the car enough.

Looks like it'll probably be eibachs then. I'll have to have a look at how much they will drop it by though. I hear Bilsteins are also very good!

As for the boxes, I've found a guy that's gonna do me a custom boot build with 2* 10" PPI flat piston subs so I won't need to get the ones from auto acoutstics.

You're right MattB, If I can put up with the rattling in the car as normal it should be fine. Besides, if I've got subs I can just pump the tunes up louder! :hyper:

Any piccies of lowered cars on different springs much appreciated! ;)

Eibach's will drop around 30mm..

Or try "Ventura" springs from Eurocarparts.. £50ish.. They are progressive and behave similarly to the Eibach ones.. Again around 30-35mm

I was always under the impression that the SPAX springs weren't that great?
Probably because of all the Nova billyboys you see driving round with spax stickers on the side of their cars.
