1. What does the button at the end of the light/indicator stalk do? Ive pressed it a few times but nothing ever happens!
2. My car is an 03 model with black trim around the bodywork. Ive noticed that on face lifted 03 models the bumpers are now colour coded.
Are there any other differences between the two models? If so what are they?
1. If the key is turned to the first click (ie power but not engnie) the button will enable/disable the autoamtic headlights if you have them. I think that it also controls the sat nav system if yuo have a standard peugeot fitted one.
2. It's got black dials with chrome/silver surrounds.
The rear lights are different - kind of like red lexus style lights
and it's got colour coded bumber like you mentioned.
i'll see what I can do...our Apaches don't work brilliantly well though. I think they borrowed the mechanics from Peugeot...
I don't think it'll be too far in the future that we start to see Head-Up displays (HUD) on standard cars. (ie fuel, oil, odo readings "projected" onto your windscreen) Am I right in thinking this technology may already be on top of the range executive cars or did i dream it??
Kenwood do a heads-up display that can be used with most headunits. However, I tihnk it's more like a see-through piece of glass with an LCD inside it that you look through rather than get it projected.
New Bmw 5series have Head-Up display (don't know if it's standard). Here's what they say in Bmw's website: "Vehicle speed information or navigation system directions - the optional Head-Up Display (available end of 2003) means that the driver's eyes never have to leave the road. Information is projected into the driver's field of vision"
