I bought my cc in December 2001 and have not had any problems until now!
Trying to put the roof down and it won't move. The shelf is pulled across in the boot but when you unhook the clips it makes no sound. Pulling the roof button only sets off an alarm beep (which is very annoying!).
Anyone had similar problems? :(

yeah i had a similar problem back in march 2001 :( took it to the dealer who finally traced the fault after 2 days to a faulty microswitch,so it's a trip to the dealers i'm afraid :(

hope you get it sorted soon to enjoy the english summer if you can call it that :D

Had this problem a while back...eventually traced to a loose ground wire in the boot which wasnt attached properly. At the time my windows wouldn't wind down either.

Just thought I'd let you all know my roof is now fully operational again!! :D
It turned out to be the microswitch in the drivers side pillar (Pillar A) which was fixed using part no P000848484. Thanks to everyone who pointed me in that direction.
Thankfully I know someone in the motor industry who managed to fix it for me without the need for a dealer.
Bring on the sunshine!!! 8)
