Mark I Ordered mine on January 28th and due Mid May. I have not had any info that the car is delayed as of yet. Neither have I had any surcharges applied. I have not received any Vin numbers etc yet but dont expect that until end of the month. I had a quote of £14036 FOR 2.0SE with full leather saving £3100.

Mark when is your car now due to euro-car consultants?

Did you have any build dates or etc through your waiting for the car? cause I have not had anything yet.
Regards

Gareth

Mark regarding the 50% to get the car, that is normal for most importers.

I was never told of my build date etc, and the only time I've been given information is when I've had to contact them myself to find out about the status of my order. I had already known that they would ask for 50% before delivery to their offices. On the letter I had they said that they'd look forward to me picking the car up from them in 21-28 days time.

I take it the letter was from Peugeot? When did you receive that and is this the same letter that said that you should be able to pick your car up from Euro-Car Consultants in 21-28 days. Sorry for the questions I just want to know when I should receive this letter considering my delivery is due mid-End May

Yes it was the same letter and I had it last tuesday 9/4/02.
The letter was from Euro Car themselves stating that the invoice they received from the supplying dealer had the surcharge added, and therefore they had no option but to add it to my original quote. Surely they would/should have known there was this surcharge beforehand and should have it in the original quote from Euro Car, it's not as if I'm the first person getting an imported car from them.

To be honest Mark I dont think it is Euro-car consultants fault. I would blame the peugeot where it was imported from. Hopefully I will not have to pay this but if I have to then I would still have saved £2500. One other question Mark did you take out the extra 1 year warranty to make it 3 years?

What I've noticed during my time of waiting is that when I contacted Euro Car on an update of my car back in February it took them a few days to get in touch with their contact, so it looks like they are have trouble getting information themselves from the Peugeot dealer. I haven't taken up the offer of the extra one year warranty as yet(extra 2 years at the time I placed my order).

I have the same problem Mark, I e-mail them and then about 2-3 days later I get a reply. I have still have yet to receive anything though, other than they will chase the dealer up.

When I phoned them last week to query the surcharge I had to leave my phone number for someone to get back to me as they were so busy.
