Well after my fun earlier this week "As well documented in the thread on my hassle with Plod and a private plate"

Guess what, yet again!, This time on the A617 in Derbyshire approaching the M1 at Jnc29

About 1 mile from the roundabout passed a white unmarked transit van on the verge, nothing out of the ordinary except for two openings at the roof line with a camera sticking out of each,

1/2 Mile down the road the dual carraigeway was reduced to one lane the the plod were stopping cars in the closed lane,

Yes! Got stopped, plod explained the ANRS Van had flagged them the car as the plate was not registered, showed docs, and within 1min they were all happy and waved me on!, (Thats the way it should be done),

They did say Derbyshire had just got the van for permenant mobile use around the county, not for speed enforcement but specifically for pulling Uninsured, UnTaxed, Suspect Vehicles, and was part of an ongoing county wide plan to cover the county (Appantly all major routes in and out of Chesterfield already have permenant monitor ANRS Cameras on roadside mounts!

So Big Brother is well and truly here!! Me Thinks to stay

not for speed enforcement but specifically for pulling Uninsured, UnTaxed, Suspect Vehicles
Recall a TV programme short while back which went out with a couple of traffic officers, the thing was continually bleeping, every bleep was an untaxed vehicle. They only paid attention when they got a siren (a suspect vehicle or unknown plate) said they'd be there all day if they dealt with the no-taxers :(
