Why do we bother in waving to our fellow cc drivers. When I drive along I'm always on the look out for a cc. I can wave, hoot, and flash and still the driver looks straight faced!! I've even received who's she waving too looks.

So I estimate my success of receiving waves at about 1 in 10, and due to this poor result I then feel silly for being friendly.

If you live in and around Ashford, Kent then thanks alot!! and I resign from waving until cc meets when I meet up with the happy, friendly bunch.

Hmm I feel better now. ;)

Yea I did my first wave and the bloke looked back at me like I was nuts.

At the next meet .. lets all drive around a carpark -- madly waving at each other as we see each other!

I know what u talking about Emma, i have the same prob over here in South AFrica. Bearing in mind though that there are very few cc's here and so to see another one is almost like seeing a memeber of the family. However, recently a friend of mine asked me why i decided to buy a girl's car. I just let that slide and blamed it on jealousy, however since then i have noticed that a large majority of cc owners here are rich maried females....so maybe the reason they dont wave is cause hubby is sitting at home waiting for his dinner :)

I totally sympathise - those "ladies of a certain age" just dont want to wave back.

I spotted 7 - yes 7 "CC"s as I was driving to work at 8am yesterday and 6 of them had their roofs up - the sun was cracking coconuts and my temp gauge said 25 degrees so no excuses for not going topless - they're a disgrace to the rest of us.

My hubby is as mad I as am and we quite often both wave to other "CCs" in fact we place a game: "I see CC" when ever we go on journeys to see how many we'll spot. The one who guesses the closest to the number we see buys the other one lunch.

Bonkers!

Well, seeing as I'm hurtling towards another birthday with a nought on the end, I'm a fine one to speak!
