I have found two scrub areas at my CC.

It seems, that a lot of CCs in Germany have this problem. Do you have the same problem?

Right people.
I have been chatting with Ralf about this problem. It seems that when the roof/boot lid operate that some bits are rubbing againts each other.
They are not just rubbing the paint off but have made holes through the body work
Go check your cars now.... this could be bad

mvoong,
When you've finished admiring the damage you can either continue to lower the roof or close the boot again.
Good Luck (I hope your cc isn't affected),
Justin.
Begin the process of lowering the roof, wait until the boot has opened fully and release the roof lowering switch before the roof itself comes off. You'll hear a warning siren when you open your door (probably goes off if you take your keys out but I didn't bother) but you can ignore it.On 2002-04-18 15:08, mvoong wrote:
How do you open the boot of the car the other way as in the picture from the german website?

Yes, I have it and took it in today. My previously-dry-as-a-bone roof has been... realigned. I think my look of horror shocked the service guy.
He said it's the first one he's seen (really?) and it's caused not by putting the roof up and down, but by the body flexing when the roof is down causing it to rub against the mechanism. They touched it up and I'm gonna stick some gaffa tape on the offending brackets.
Just hope that it doesn't leak now
