I found this on lastminute.com today
http://www.lastminute.com/lmn/pso/catal ... =345319385
For all the southerners who 1) wanted to get together for a p!ss up or 2) didn't want to drive all the way to Alton Towers and back in one day
Even though the hotel is 45 mins from Alton Towers itself, it does include entrance to Alton Towers and the price isn't too bad.
What do you guys think for a September/October meet idea?
Feedback most welcome!

Just bear in mind that if you stay at the Thistle at EMA,
The back of the hotel faces the UPS and FedEx Depots, and sleep is normally only possible with elephant dose trancs, due to the activity all night from incomming and outgoing cargo flights!
(Theres always a reason they are cheap!!)

Last time i went to alton towers we stayed in Nottingham for the night, at least that way you get a night out on the town as well.

I went on a trip once where we went to Alton Towers & American Adventure with an overnight stay, it was cheaper than entry tickets to parc. The hotel was a granada hotel close by to both but cannot remember where
