Ok, last week I received the Lexus Light I Bidded for on Ebay, from the above Company, and they did not work. They sent me new wiring bits (just swap the bulbs and the wires) and when they finally arrived, I duly swapped the whole things..... and now they work even worse! Originally both indicators were working fine, only 1 brake light worked, the other one was always on, and the position lights just didnt work.
Now, with these new wirings, NOTHING works!
I emailed the company asking for a full refund (and enquired about a possible refund from the credit card company I used in case they don't want to give one to me, the Credit card company said it's possible).
A doubt arises though: could there be anything wrong with the car itself ???? Of course the original lights from peugeot work fine......

if the original lights work fine then the lexus lights must beat fault as it should be a straight forward swap plugging in the wiring into the back.
if they don't refund then your credit card company should do so if the goods are faulty - just claim through them.

Are you sure the plug connection on the car are OK. The only reason I say this is because. When I put my Lexus lights on my car I found one of the indicators didn’t work because where the new plug was tight it actually pushed one of the metal pin/contacts back from the casing and therefore did not make a connection. You couldnt tell by looking at it. I only found it by buzzing the wiring out. This was on the plug from the car that had caused this. This doesn’t really explain why the original lights work though. I would try the old wiring, as it sounds more successful and then try and look at the back of the connector blocks as you push them together. You may find that one of the plugs is pushing the other plugs wires backward from their casing. A bit of WD-40 might help if this is the case

The thing is Darth, I don't really wanna start messing around with the wiring as I am no expert..... + to be honest I got the lights coz I was aware that the installation is very easy (which it is), so really I don't want to start fiddling with a good that doesnt work "out of the box", as it is supposed to....

Yes if they do not work like they are supposed to then you should send them back. Let it be a warning to people who intend to change stuff on their car. I tend to find that most aftermarket stuff needs a certain amount of twatting about for it to fit/work. I guess just because I expect this sort of hassle nowadays doesn’t make it right.

well the good news is....I phoned the company, they sounded very surprised that the lights didnt work, bt at the same time they will arrange for a courier to pick them up + I will get a full refund... at least that part has worked as it should!
Now my question is... to all the ppl that HAVE lexus lights.... did they work straight away (just plug them in and that's all) or did you have to fiddle with them?

mine worked first time. This is one of the reasons why i wanted to go get them fitted etc - if they hadnt i'd have just asked the ecosse guy to run back in & get another set!
Think anything else i get is generally gonna be from ecosse or dealership now, since i would rather pay a couple of extra quid, and have someone i can moan at if its not right!

so are the ecosse ones still the ones with the orange bits?
If so, Derek, any chance to negotiate a bit of a discount, considering they are £188 (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)?

discounts are only on bulk purchases eg hoops where profit margin permits. worth giving them a phone saying i recommended them to you as they sometimes give discounts on that basis.so are the ecosse ones still the ones with the orange bits?

also worth bearing in mind is with anything you get what you pay for. ecosse sell quality products and not rubbish so you need to pay for it. i'm sure they could easily supply lights at £100 and cheap bodykits and spoilers etc.. if they wanted to but they prefer to deal in quality goods and thats partly what they have built their reputation on.
