Also the one in the showroom was black so not the greatest advert for the difference colour coded bits make

True, but when the sun shines on it, it looks nicer then the 'old' black color i think? As it's metallic not?

I think if you give the the bumper bit a spray with back to black it looks more or lels the same as coloured unless you get up close
