Well it's finally done... the CC is up for sale.

Thought I'd start a new thread in here for the "don't do it", "don't be stupid" and "why" replies so as not to clog up my for sale message.

Basically err.. money!

All is peachy is I'm currently renting, but need to get a house at some point and I'm not going to afford it whilst I have the CC. I'm also young (well, under 25 which in the insurance company's eyes is young!) and doing a lot of miles so my insurance is very high and the CC is hardly good on fuel efficiency. I've also just got 3 points on my license which doesn't help!

Think of getting a late W or X reg 306 HDi and doing some mods to the engine (should be able to get 120BHP without too much effort) as it's group 5 insurance with 55-60MPG.

I reckon I'll be 500-600 quid better off a month... which is significant!

don't do it

!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh OK, I'm joking. I know what you mean. I had a megane coupe 1.6 8v and it was cheaper to insure than the beaten up old 1.4 orion i had before - the megane's group 6. So it was a shock to double my insurance premium when I got the CC!

No problems, I'll get a omd to remove the post as long as you don't mind.

I'll still be knocking around here - and besides, the car isn't sold yet so I'll be driving it until it is!!
