Well, Robs doing his best to sway me towards the Ford Racing Puma, and if he can find one for 10k or under i will...
In the meantime if anyone sees any Honda CRX's on their travels (preferably silver or black) please feel free to let me know...I'm in the Oxfordshire area...
ps It has to be a 1.6 VTi and have the back end that looks like an MR2 not the Honda Civic...
Cheers

Personally I'd go for the Integra Type-R.
Or a Scoob
The FRP might be a "limited edition" but:
1) It's a limited edition Ford :rolleyes:
2) It's only "limited edition" because they couldn't sell the buggers and stopped the production run. It was something like £23k (several grand more than a 'Teg, and many grand more than an ordinary Puma) and didn't even produce decent amounts of power.
Have you thought about a Fiat Coupe Turbo?
Actually, IMHO, you'd be better off with something that's not FWD.

From your options IMHO (and having owned 2) buy the MkI MX5.
Best car you can have for the money.
Some quick reasons.
- Proper sports car (ie. engine at the front and rear wheel drive).
- Never (ever ever ever) go wrong
- Loads of tuning goodies available
- The roof from the newer car fits (with a bit of messing) giving a glass rear screen.
- Balance handling. Getting the back end out is a scream
- Car will grow with you (if it feels 2 slow bang a turbo or super charger on
)
- At the stage now where a good purchase will nearly hold its value
- It will be a classic (well at least the early 120 bhp 1.6 will be/already is
)
- Over 500,000 sold so great owners scene with regular drives, magazine, forums etc.
- Oh yes nearly forgot its a convertible
Buy a good Japanese import to get the extras like aircon and make sure you buy a well specced limited edition to keep the value up. Good japanese motors aren't any cheaper than UK cars but are generally better specced, lower mileage and several versions are Japanese only.
Count on needing a few quid left for essentials like a full service (inc. all fluids and filiters & cam belt £200) and some extras (decent alloys, exhaust and a second hand mkII roof) you know it makes sence.
I miss mine daily
If it hadn't been for circumstances I'd have bought another one (but new).
