Erm
Sounds good to me.
It will be nice to meet up with people and hopefully we can go ahead with this one as oposed to it being "all talk"
So lets hear people's feedback whether they want to meet or not.

Why not have it the "Bassetts Pole" pub A38, near Lichfield..

Along with the PGAC at their regular meet??

I'm all for a meet. I think it will be great to get to know all of the people who post and share a common interest.

My only concern is the sad minority who may get wind of this on the net and come to spoil what would be a great day. Has anyone else organised this sort of thing before? Is this unlikely to happen :???:

How about the final venue being posted to people who have registered for the owner's club.

Just a thought....

FAO Bri

What do you mean about sad people turning up and spoiling the fun sort of speak.

This doesn't happen mate - any meets we have arranged in the past are attended by the people that are meant to be there.

Si - have you ever attended any sort of car meet when uninvited guests turn up ?

The PGAC (sorry Lyndon this is not a plug) have loads of meetings and I am yet to hear of the party being gate crashed.

Please have confidence, if you have a CC meet it will go off with a bang, indeed its the sort of stuff some mags would like to feature.

I doubt anyone will try anything Bri. I mean theres gonna be quite a few blokes there and how many sad individuals will there be?

Maybe some mags will be interested, but first we need input from you all. So just throw some ideas for time of the year and where u want it to be.

I have never been to a meet that "unwanted" vistors have appeared..

I think my suggestion for "Bassets pole" would work, not only a shit load of CC's but Pugs in general...
As this PGAC meet normally produces around 20 cars anyway and 2 or 3 CC's... The car park is pretty big and the pub sells good food..

ok well basically its gotta be somewhere central cause i aint trekkin up to scotland and i am sure most of u lot who are up north dont wanna trek down to london.

The further south the better, cause we all want good weather so we can have our roofs down, and the further south it is the better chance we got.

A38? Lichfield?.....WHAT??? wheres that?

I was thinking the same thing!
Where is Lichfield! Will it be on my "SOUTH" map?? he he he ;)
Likewise being from the South I don't wanna be driving miles up north! I may get lost!!!

Hey, we could do a Convoy along the M40!

I go to meets where they meet up regionally and then do a ride-in (oh, my other car is a bike!). They converge en mass to the chosen venue... That helps anyone who risks getting lost (Julia!).

Or am I just getting sad and over-excited now that I've only got 3.5 days to go until I get mine?

Pauline

PS Birmingham's good.

Mark

Nice one  That's what I wanted to hear. I am new to this and have never been to a meet or been a member of a club so I wanted to know if it was a problem. I'll take it on your good advice that we should be ok so that's fine by me

Erm,

I'm from Teesside and I don't think Birmingham is too far. It would entail one or two nights in a hotel, but if we are to get people from all over the UK then I think most people would accept that. I certainly would. I think sometime in April / May would be best because if you have it much later you start to get into summer holiday time and people will be going away.

Looking forward to it already!!

OK cool Bri,

We are making some progress already. I agree with the April/May time cause myself cant make it in June, July or August. I think late April would be the best time.

Any other ideas for the location cause its better to have a choice. Suggestions welcome
