I have Autoglym's Engine cleaner and thinking to wash the engine (cause it's very very dirty after winter).
I'm planning to spray engine cleaner and then rinse it out with waterhose then leaving the car in sun (with open bonnet) at least couple of hours. Is there any particular part in engine to protect from water? (of course electric-connections and electric-box).
How to wash the engine ?

you should be OK without covering anything. Just rinse gently, no pressure washers.
After you have washed it spray some of the "VINYL & RUBBER CARE" over the wet engine. Just leave it to dry. This gives the engine a nice 'clean' look and helps keep it that way for longer.
