Hi again! After my tussle with the hoops this afternoon, I'm ready for the next mod challenge now - spoiler!!! ( ;) only kidding - it's here waiting to go to the bodyshop on Tuesday to be fitted along with bonnet vents)

Question - we decided on a Virtuel CC spoiler with side repeaters - think we want them wired as indicators not sidelights - are they a pig to do?? How do you get the wire so it doesn't get ripped out when the boot opens for roof or shopping??????? I'm assuming that the place we're taking it to will sort it, I hope there's instructions for it in the box from Ecosse!

Also getting her colour coded while she's there - any thoughts on the black bit on the wing mirrors?? Can you paint those too or does that look wierd???

Thanks in advance! :D

 hello ;)

The spoiler can be wired as indicators, dunno how hard it is do to (apparently a bit of a pain) but on Chloe's ecosse CC they are wired as indicators :D

you can colour code the wingmirrors, however i personally i didnt like them colour coded (and if someone knocks one off for ya then u got the extra expense of gettin it colour coded again)

Good luck with whatever you decide :D

P.S. wot colour is your CC
MMMMmmmmmm V-TEC u gotta love it :)

it's the virtuel spoiler i got and i think there's a bit of work time wise wiring the indicators. no idea what's specifically involved as i don't know much about things like that :D

the mirrors is a tricky one. diane & matt at ecosse both advised not to paint and if i did do them not to do the base plate which is what i eventually decided on ......

   ha ha! Don't worry Derek ours is Caymen Green (is that ok Erm???) so we won't look the same!! Promise we won't copy any more!!!! Thanks for the advice, think we will get them done as indicators - let them work it out eh? Mirrors look cool Derek, but yeah I see the point about (shock horror) getting them knocked off... will have to think about that one! Going in on Tues - how exciting :hyper:

You were the first person ever to fit those ecosse mods then derek? Or who were you copying?!? ;) :P :D

Problem is with making your car 'individual' that it has almost always been done many times before - the only cc i have seen with any mods not done hundreds of times is the one with the big aerofoil (Darren).

Personally i dont care whether my car is one of a kind or not, i just wanna make it look as nice as possible with the money i am prepared to pay on such things! Unfortunately i seem to like some things (twin headlamps, alu hoops, sp grille, etc) which are in my opinion overpriced, so i may have to wait until i can justify them, or until i am in a 'spendy money recklessly' mood!

not seen any car with exact mods as myself. obviously others can have what i have got as they are mass produced items.

but no i never actually saw a CC and copied what i saw on it, if i did i would have a full bodykit etc....

as for the mirrors + painting if they get knocked off riss - you would need to do that anyway as they don't come with the colour coded cap if you bought a replacement so getting them done like mine won't make a replacement anymore expensive if the need did arise.

well derek if someone knocks the wingmirror off, the top bit is unlikely to be damaged to the extent it needs a respray :P

so u cud just move it from the old to new one ;)
