Hi guys and gals, haven't been posting this forum lately, but today I had an accident with my car, I drove 50 km/h when suddenly a car crossed the street, I had to break but drove into the mercedes with like 30 km/h ( 20 miles ).

No one was hurt but the CC, 2 airbags went out, the airco leaked, the motor was also damages and the cooling system leaked all on the street, the car was like 40 cm slimmer. Can anyone tell me that its likely that it is a total loss ? I am gonna be even more upset is they repair the car and it wont drive like before. Any help appreciated!

yeah, I know. Actually first thing thought after the crash was : " there is no pain... " so I was not that upset :D .

The crash was well, harder than I thought it would be, glad the airbags and seatbelt worked, my head did not bounce on the bag, burned my thumb a little bit on the heat from the bag but that's just a flesh wound ( Monty Python comes along ).

Actually, my car looks a little worse than the one on the picture, my fromt spoiler was off and the bumper as well. Anyone insurance experts here

the aico leaked, so thats a new one, 2 airbags, a new cooling system, the motor was hit as well, the front spoiler, light unit, bumper, the hood....

Sorry to hear about your crash :(

I crashed a standard 206 a couple of years ago with about the same amount of damage as in that picture. It wasn't a write off and the repairers did a fantastic job, afterwards you couldn't tell anything had happened to it. I'd guess that most of the bits that make a CC different to a normal 206 are in the back, so if my car was repairable yours may well be too.

Hope you're soon back on the road.

It doesnt sound like a write off to me i'm afraid - you'll be surprised what they will fix sometimes! But as Lyndon said you can never really tell. My brother had over £10000 work done to a 306 XS he rolled a few years ago, R reg a couple of years old, and i had thought that was DEFINATELY a write off!?!

At least you know your air bags work tho - my bro's car had 6 sensors round the car - 2 front, 2 back, 1 each side. He tore the front end off the car, rolled it hitting every panel and the airbag STILL never went off!!

Da's mooi klote zo zeg! Net nu de zomer gaat beginnen... :(

Better go over to English now... Else they all think i'm on the gossip ;)

The main problem is the internal damage i think. I had a toyota once and had a small accident with another car just my right headlight against his left one. No big damage at all. But on my car it was appearantly about 12.500 guilders and his was written off (but his car was about 8 years old i guess).

So it's hard to tell what the damage is from the outside.

Succes verder!
