IT/Sales&Marketing for new and excisting Business in Europe.
That basicly means coordinating salesmen and selling Oracle to mainly Dutch speaking (large Accounts) customers.
That sounds ok and is in my area, got a meeting next week over here (why not over there?) for more details and about why i've got to go to Dublin for it?
Heard it rains even more in Dublin then over here...
So that means even less top down

Dublin is very expensive. Especially to drink.
The Irish are more friendly then the English, which can be unnerving when you are out for a quiet pint and a read of the paper and they keep talking to you!
Also in London if some stranger speaks to me I automatically think 'is he after my wallet, or is he gay?'
It is colder then the South of England. They use the Euro of course. You can stay in a hotel owned by Bono from U2 if you get the urge! There is little industry there (anymore) apart from tourism.
You'll get sick of all the stag-do's every weekend.
Everyone gets very drunk every weekend -- which is not a bad thing. But this alongside their friendliness means like it or not you'll have drunken people putting their arms around you and slurping 'I bloody love you English .. hiccup .. oh yea .. let's dance -- I LOVE Everything gimme a whisky'!!
They tend to fight slightly more but the fights arn't as serious as they are in London theres a kind of 'once he's on the ground he's done rule' (as oppose to the London 'once he's on the ground smash his head into the pavement a few times' rule that I've seen in my time (
).)
Check the insurance quotes for your car .. average insurance in some places in Ireland is about £3000.
