Replace things such as windscreen wipers?
I just wondered how long windscreen wipers usually live for.

(Yes I am bored!)

thought u would have done it by now :P

normally last me 18 months / 30,000 miles or so. i guess if u don't drive as many miles then they will last longer than that.

I change mine every 12 months without fail.

Obviously my cars dont go very far, but the UK climate isnt very kind to the rubber so every 12 months is the recommended time.

Had to change mine within 2 months and it wasn't covered by warranty - that must be a record :(

Not sure if this is a really stoopid question, but hell I'll ask it anyway...

I believe its a product applied to your windscreen which allows water to slide off providing near clear vision in rain and little or no need for wiper use.

You will also find members comments about Rain x in the car care section.

Is it like Red X but for windscreens?! Hopefully you don't get loads of smoke coming out the washer jets when you use it though ;)

Jools, I've replaced mine already! I seem to get through wipers and front tyres at the same rate so I'll be due for some more soon :D

Don't forget when you need new tyres to call my tyre man!

As for windscreen wipers - mine seem to be ok!? I did use rain x for a bit but somehow the wipers seem ok! (They are prob completely useless but being blonde I don't realise!! )
