Well, decided i'd dipped my toe in the slk waters and liked it a lot, so today I bought the designo SLK 32 AMG - 350 bhp (metallic silver blue).

The salesman took me for the most frightening drive in one today. OMG still haven't recovered from the experience.

Hopefully it will be ready to be picked up within 2 weeks, Ill ask Lyndon if he will post a few pics if anyone wants to see.

Er... still haven't seen my wallet after it ran away, if anyone spots it please ring me.

Robbie.

So you couldn't wait for the new model i see... ;)

Well congrats with the new car! Well you better be drivin' it as with your testdrive, that's what the AMG stands for... :D
(and it should go faster than during your testdrive, you've lost a lot of weight in your wallet :P )

Will do just as soon as its delivered, it will take 10-14 days unfortunately.

Its a one off designio colour, a sort of moonstone but slightly deeper silver blue.

I looked at the price tag of the 32 AMG with the extras at just under £50,000 and felt it was better to buy one 6 months old as I'm chopping it in next year.

I paid £36,000 for a 02 52 plate one owner AMG with 14,000 miles saving a wopping 14K.

I was given £21,250 trade in for my 6 month old imported slk200 I bought for £23,000.

The figures are 0-62.5mph 5.2 seconds 155mph (limited)

If I de-limited it would be even quicker but I couldn't handle more power, I'm still recovering after the salesmans "test drive".

Not too bad a deal I hope.

Robbie.

 @ Paul, I was waiting.

Your right Paul, I'm assuming yours is the standard twin turbo Supra with a 0-60 mph 4.6 seconds time.

I don't think though I'll be making any modifications, 5.2 seconds really scared me yesterday, I must be gettin old and love the slk comforts too much :D
