Do you mean that the lights are turn on & offable?
Never, ever turned them on or off - it's automatic?
Only get the ever helpful "You've left your lights on" which upsets the helpful!

press the left hand stalk in on the end for 4 seconds, wait for the beep and then it will have turned your auto lights on, do the same to turn them off.

presuming that you've got an SE as it's not a standard feature of the S.

Make sure the ignition is on the first click when you do this - ie electrics on, but engine off.

Why do you get those coments about leaving your lights on? They are out as soon as you lock your car aren't they?

No RTF, my lights are 'see you home' & they stay on for quite a while - perhaps a minute after I've locked it. Thought this was standard on all CC's?? Anyway, I often have helpful people telling me my lights are still on, and, whilst I appreciate their concern....................

The lights were set to automatic when the keys were given to me and they've stayed that way ever since. Dead handy when pulling into dingy garage forecourts or multi-storey car parks.

And for those people who say I've left my lights on when I get out of the car, I say " No I haven't" and then they say "Yes you h... Oh" ;)

The auto wipers on the other hand...
Just because you're paranoid, it don't mean they're not after you.

hmm, strange... I've got 'follow me home' too, but as soon as i lock the car, the lights go out. When i don't lock it the lights indeed stay on for a minute or so...
Btw, you're still welcome on a boat here (well not here, because there's no canals where i live...), but i wouldn't wanna change places with you then... such small boats... ;)

Hi

I'm fairly new to my cc only got it on the 8th May. I use the auto-lights and thought it was a fault that the lights dont go off when i switch the engine off. Reading this I guess I also have "follow me home lights"

How long do they usually stay on after the car is locked?

Mine stay on for about a minute after I've switched off and shut the door.

I've noticed that the lights sometimes come on unnecessarily though, with just a few dark clouds in the sky they decide to switch themselves on.
