Hi Mark

I boght the Ecosse crystal vents earleir this year. I had my Aegean Blue CC colour coded a few months back (front/back bumpers and side strips) and I managed to persuade them to do the vents for free (they weren't on the car at the time).

Total cost was 200 quid, but this was at a Pug bodyshop up in Leeds. I'd guess that you could get them done for 40-50 quid, but shop around to get a decent price.

Hi SportifCC!,

I see you live in Singapore. Long time since I have been there. Lived in Johore Bahru for 18 months then another 18 months on Singapore Island but that was way back in the late 60's. I would imagine it has changed a lot since then!!

Nope, mine are still as smooth as they were when I had them sprayed. I'd get in touch with the people you bought them from - they obviously haven't sprayed/primed/lacquered them properly.

Hi Berg,

Wow 60's you are here... I am born in year 65. Is a great different now... you should come by and stay few days. But of course not now... due to SARS outbreak. :(

Hey MattB,
Thanks... :D

It could be due to our weather over here (car temp as hot as 40 degrees). It happens even though it is not sprayed. Ok, maybe I should say I received it without spray paint.

Hi MattB,

I've had very little luck in getting e-mail, replies, I guess because they're a very busy company. You may have more luck if you give them a call although it won't be a cheap call from where you are!!

I know Singapore pretty well too....I was really looking forward to visiting the "world famous" Buguis Street. How disappointing. Also did Singapore Slings in Raffles - what a rip-off!!! Nice hotel though. Very colonial.
Boat Quay and Ship Quay are a wicked night out. I was thinking off sueing "Hooters" in Singapore though. Yes, the girls wear the little orange shorts and tight white crop tops, but they're flat chested! Flagrant breach of the Trades descriptions Act if ever i saw one!!
The only other moan i've got about Singapore was the massive Manchester United Superstore that is over the road from Orchard Tower. I mean, why?

Hi CB,

I was only 7 when we went to live out there (Dad in the Fleet Air Arm) so never got chance to sample Boogie Street. The tallest building in those days was only about 8 storeys aswell. Best memories for me were the Chitchats, the Satay man coming round on a pushbike in the evening and selling his wares, finishing school at lunchtime because it was too hot in the afternoon, monsoon rain etc.etc. etc.

Hey MattB,

Called them today, managed to speak to the salesperson.... their computer system down for weeks, therefore can't reply me. I really like the crystal air vent, the look is really cool. Well, got to be patient. ;)

Hey MattB,

I've got good news from Ecosse, they intend to replace new air vent to me. :D

They claimed "this has not happened before and i can assure you that it is not due to climate as when we are painting these vents".

Hope this time I am in good luck .... ;)
