I contacted my dealership the other day to ask for some quotes on some mods for my car. I asked for a quote on the Sports Grille for the front, and Wheel Arch extensions(painted and fitted), and also to paint/fit Cristal Front Bonnet Vents from Ecosse!

He rung me today with the quote.....

£621 :yikes:

This breaks down as follows: £245 for Sports Grille(upper and lower......is it worth getting the upper grille done??....its so small and you can't really see it anyway!)

and £376 to paint and fit the Wheel Arch extensions and the Cristal bonnet vents!(on the Peugeot website the Wheel arch extensions are £175!!!)

What really annoyed me is that I have the Peugeot accessorie's price booklet that states that you can get the Sports Grille(U & L) and Wheel extensions(painted and fitted) for £399 all inclusive! When I told him about this he stated that he didn't know anything about that, and he wants me to take the book into him on Saturday!

How much should I be paying to get this work done??? :?:

He also quoted me £229 for Diamond Brighting...is this expensive?

MSF in Leeds did my front/back bumpers, side strips and Ecosse vents for 200 quid all in. I got my SP grille with the car and it cost me an extra 185 quid.

It does seem very expensive to be honest - try checking at some other dealerships and get the best price.

For the Diamondbrite, yes it is expensive, call them direct and ask for the the phone number of the guy who does it in your area and check the price with him (I paid £150 in September).

I had the upper grille fitted on my car as well when I had the rest of the sport pack put on - I know you can't really see it, but you might as well have it!

i had a similar treatment as diamondbrite done on mine and got the bloke down to 50 quid a car

he did do all 4 of em but i got 4 cars done for less than u are being asked to pay ;)

and yes ur dealer is takin the piss, the upper grille is glued on, wheel arch extensions are well easy to fit only thing i'd get them to fit is the lower mesh grille. U can get the other bits colour coded at a local bodyshop that dont charge peugeots labour charge and save a fortune
MMMMmmmmmm V-TEC u gotta love it :)

If your not bothered about the guarantee on "Diamondbrite" etc. Then find out who does it in your area and get them to do your car without warranty "cash in hand" if they'll play ball. Very cheap :)

As for the paint work I'm also having fun. Local experts want £250+vat for colour coding. I'll try my usual place today. Last time I used them they de-stonechipped, sprayed & blended my bonnet and fitted and sprayed a bodykit for £260 (all pearlesent paint) cash Grrr.

Erm's an expert at reattaching the wheel arch extensions. Definatly expensive all dealers do not quote the same prices, and don't be shy to ask for discount. Most are happy to give 10%!! ;)
