CB ... normally on delocked dehandled cars, you have a small solenoid to open and close the door, it's normally activated by a small butting flushed into the wing mirror.
there are other ways to do this .. but it's one of the better one . Trust me I've been smoothing cars mostly beetles / mini's for over 10yrs (bloody hell) and so have tried most systems.
still it's better to do these things yourself than just throw a blank cheque at the bodyshop - tend to have more respect for the thing when you do it yourself rtather than have it paid for by someone else.

CB, do a search on google for "solenoid doors".
Hey Ermie, you hijacked Kirsty's post good'n'proper!
I confess
I hadn't noticed your lack of front badge/bonnet vents/door handles. Do you have anything else missing?
Aunty Pxx
PS Kirsty, I like yours very much too! You pesky kids earn way too much money nowadays

Derek,
Erm is refering to Mellis car - and I can assure everyone here that it is a bit more than silver foil and a bumper. and considering he's the only one of us here who actually shows his car, I think a bit of support for the guy is in order.
I actually saw his car at Donny, (anyone else go ?) and it's actually very impressive. The silver graphix run from the front all the way to the boot, and are actually kinda muted - soo it's quite a sublte look. The car was also lowered (by himself using Eccose springs) in time for Trax last year and has the obligatory ICE build - that I have to say comes close to mine for looking ace (but I would say that). In fact I belive that he's done quite a bit himself in additon to the above.
