Ok, I think it'll have to be black.
How much does this 'silver sealing' thing cost?

Cheers.

I was thinking it too when i ordered mine (and green or silver or red).
Here in Hameenlinna it's all the same what is the colour, since mine cc is onlyone in town :D (I have heard that one red is coming to town in this summer).

Motorpoint did it for £125 before I picked it up...guaranteed for 3 years. Have a search on Silver Seal, Diamond Brite and Supaguard for more info on each type...pros and cons.

To be honest, I haven't washed the car yet cos you need to wait 7 days so I don't know how worth it it will be...I've already got micro scratches..sad but true.

The reason for getting something like this isn't so much to keep the car clean or make it easier to wash, but to stop the paintwork fading or being damaged as easily by UV, bird cr@p, dirt etc.

It still takes the same amount of effort to clean it...

All those sensible protective type reasons aside...I wanted Silver Seal due the to the "dirt just floating away with a hose" and "no need to wax/polish" type reasons I read about on here before I bought my car....!!

Just leaned it using the neutral Autosmart shampoo I got free and it's gleaming so I'm happy....

Whoops, sorry about not replying, I hadn't read this post.

And yes thanks for reminding me - I haven't sent my pics to Lyndon yet cos I had to fiddle the colours a bit in Photoshop. My digital camera doesn't reproduce reds quite right, and I wanted it to look fairly accurate. And then I was busy and forgot.

I'll get them sent soon. Originally I was going to get silver cos it shows dirt the least. Then I decided there were too many silver cars here and wanted to be more original. The brighter red (Cherry) has too much w@nker stigma here. The clincher was when I spotted my first CC out on the road, which was a Diablo, and I loved it. It even has different looks in different lights, but the best is in bright sunshine - really rich deep red.
MMMMMmmmmm Diablo!!!!!! :D :D

I had a black with red (orange) leather, changed to red (non metalic) with black leather and are realy happy with my new choice.. The black is too common and a bit dull after some time. And it is difficult to keep the paint in good shape even with paint protection. The red cc is getting a lot more atraction then the black got.. after changing to red i have had more comments about the car in two months than i got for a year in the black. So if you want to be seen... go for the red!! If you want to be anonym go for silver, moonstone or black... the rest of the colours are way out of my thoughts...

Red looks really stunning, but red paint seems to fade and lose it's gloss a lot quicker than other colours, unless there's a lot of red car owners who just can't be bothered to look after them or just wash them with washing up liquid! I know all colours fade if they're not looked after, but red seems to be the worst.

Having said that I've got black and often get accused by my annoying neighbours of being obessed with keeping it clean! It's definitely worth it though, the car turns heads all the time! Quite amusing :D
