recent 206CC owner, love the car ! however I have come to realise something " I HATE PEUGEOT GARAGES " !!!!
all was going well roof down sun shining ! when suddenly the roof alarm came on. So I stopped and tried to figure out why? when I tried to put the roof back up all I got was the alarm. Ran it into Peugeot and they told me that they would have to change two switches/contacts for an obscene amount of money. However 2 days after this the same problem! back to peugeot and they told me that another contact needs changing. The problem is that the car is just outside the european 1 year warranty therefore its me picking up the bill each time.
any advice !!
letting off steam

well it seems that from March of this year yes ! but mine is a Jan 2002 and then it was 1 year. I know that there was an EU law stating 2 years minimum but they have chosen two ignore it. Still I will chase it up with Peugeot customer service but I won't hold my breath. Even though this car is a year old it has only done 1500 klm and is as new

well Izzy London is my home town however the sun shines a lot more here ! and yes there is some great scenery which I intend to visit even if my roof dosen't want to go back up ! I have only had the car a month before that it was sat in a showroom and nobody here wanted it as it was right hand drive. So I felt sorry for it and made the dealer an offer he couldn't refuse.

yeah I do miss the sunshine, but for some strange reason not the winters!!!! There's a good French forum here: http://www.forum-auto.com/sqlforum/index.htm with a 206 section, it's quite a laugh on there.
